Mickey Thompson ET Street II Drag Radial vs Goodyear Eagle F1 G2 on Shelby GT500 - My First Thoughts

The weather's still been rainy so I have not had a chance to get these new drag radials out in optimal conditions but I made this quick video on the way to the gym Of course it started raining half way through the drive but I decided I'll just upload this anyway There are some decent Shelby GT500 exhaust sounds sprinkled through out the video had a pretty good engine start exhaust note with the pops and crackles don't get that every time I think it has to do with the temperature humidity etc So here are my initial thoughts on the Mickey Thompson ET Street II Drag Radial vs the stock Shelby GT500 tires First thing I noticed was the softer ride The tires absorb more of the road imperfections the goodyears were so hard that you feel pretty much every crack and bump in the road Next the most important thing they definitely get better traction when putting the throttle down in 1st and 2nd gear I have not had the chance to got full WOT yet but that is coming soon so check my next videos out My third observation is the Mickey Thompson ET Street II Drag Radial tires are not as good at cornering which I expected Going around tight turns the car just feels less precise On a round-a-bout the other day I had the traction on sport mode and it kicked in and took power away from me somewhat unexpectedly It didn't see like the tires were losing lateral traction or stability to me but the ECU said differently This is all I have right now it's Sunday morning and I'm looking out the window and once again it is cloudy and the roads are wet from overnight rain Unfortunately it looks like rain is in the forecast all the way until next Saturday too but hopefully we can find a few breaks of warm sunshine to dry up and heat up the roads and make some videos with the new tires See you in the next one duders Oh also I keep forgetting I heard the Mickey Thompson ET Street II were really bad in the rain so I've been taking it fairly easy on wet ground That being said the Mickey Thompson ET Street II are better in 70F weather with wet roads and rain coming down than the Goodyear Eagle F1 G2 tires are in the COLD like below 50F So if you know what the Goodyears are like in the winter the Mickey Thompson ET Street II have better traction than that in wet conditions That being said I wouldn't try planting down too much power in any RWD car when its wet and raining your just asking for trouble save it for a dry day start engine 2 41 get on road 4 40 more exhaust 6 26 mini acceleration pull at 12 21 mini acceleration pull at 11 26 Video is relevant to Mickey Thompson ET Street II Drag Radial Goodyear Eagle F1 G2 Best tires for shelby gt500 best mustang tires drag radials for mustang how to get better traction best tires to get traction tires for muscle car street tires for high horsepower car how to make shelby gt500 faster how to make mustang faster drag tires for mustang drag tires for muscle car best tires for camaro best tires for challenger drag radials for hellcat hellcat tires best tires for hellcat best tires for shelby gt350 shelby gt350r shelby gt350 tires for 2015 mustang 2015 mustang tires 2016 mustang tires best mustang performance mod modded mustang mustang mods
